Re: Trust
First and foremost, it's not the DSLR that makes for a cinematic production. It's how you shoot and how you edit. You can produce cinematic work with XHA1's just as we used to.

Re: Prime lens for processional?
Hey, Jeff, I'm assuming you're planning to follow focus on the subjects as they walk up the aisle, right? If not, and you're just looking for them to walk in and out of a specific focal point then...

Re: Toasts
I'd say you're on the right track then. At the end of the the day I always say do what works best for YOU. I will say, though, that there is a bit of a fanatical craze in the industry right now to...

Re: Toasts
Three cameras ... on tripod with 70-200 on toaster ... on tripod with 24-70 on couple ... on monopod with 70-200 for tight audience reactions.
I asked in the other thread why you were using all...

Re: Wedding Videography Decorum
Alen, I apologize if I offended you. I didn't intend to. I simply meant to point out that, like yourself, there are a multitude of guests at every wedding shooting photos and video now. And the...

Re: DSLRs: am I just being paranoid?
Interesting that even when we used 'proper' video cameras we never relied on those cameras for our audio, yet that does seem to be a major hangup for many concerning DSLRs. Also, we never...

Re: DSLRs: am I just being paranoid?
Wow, Philip, you seem to have a chip on your shoulder regarding DSLR's. You made each of the 'benefits' you listed sound like negatives.
Look, DSLR's aren't for everyone. They DO have...
