Re: gx7 peaking - gh5 Dec 2013
Here's the coolest thing about all these m43 cams with the ETC function. They are totally stealth.
Here's my latest with the G6 and a 100-300mm at a 1500mm equiv focal length.

Re: gx7 peaking - gh5 Dec 2013
I have the new G6 and the peaking really isn't nearly as good as one would think. Magic Lantern peaking on a Canon T3i is way, way, way, better. The touch screen zoom / focus assist works...

Re: panasonig g6 softer in 50p compared to 25p?
I've shot a ton now with the G6 and tested all the different modes yesterday. There's no difference in detail of the different modes.
I will suggest that guy has an issue with importing 1080-60p...

Re: Lumix g6 experiences
Thanks, I figured since I wanted to see some comparisons, others would like to as well. The more I film with the G6 the more I'm liking it.
Cheers,
Pete

Re: Lumix g6 experiences
There are a few different picture profiles you can set like Standard, Neutral, Monochrome.....
Don't think they have a profile editor like Canon though.
The G6 manual is here -

Re: Lumix g6 experiences
Yes the camera's were at the same distance from the flower. I couldn't move back far enough to get the same field of view on my dining room table, so I thought I'd just show the crop factor...

Re: Lumix g6 experiences
The first image is the G6. The T3i is a stop brighter in low light. It also has much more color depth at higher ISO's. With enough light the G6 seems to have better dynamic range, especially in...

Re: New t3i or new lens
I'm not a buyer that the quality of the 3x is sofrter or less contrast. It is all in the lens. If you use higher quality glass, the 3x gives incredible results that are nearly indestinguisable from...

T3i - Wildlife - Sharpness ???
Here's a very long sample of a bull elk I was filming and watching all winter. If you skip through it you can see the progression I been getting with this cam since it first came out in March.
