You can use a non-certified camera for portions of a show.. Especially if there is no other camera available for such a role..

Most of the OBV camera's I saw on TV were Grass Valley LDK-8000's.. However I also know of a company which has sent an OBV with Sony HDC-1500's there..

Cheapest way is attaching a small mirror (bogstandard one) to your monitor in a similar fashion that the autocue does it.. Though that would only really work with small monitors (7-10")

It is 29.97 frames per second, not 60... It has 60 (well 59.94) FIELDS per second, and 2 fields make up one FRAME. This is because it's interlaced video.

Yup did that often with my Panny DVCpro deck. Only downside is that the max quality is DV25.. though that's miles better than SVHS or VHS...so not a problem for you..

Eeek. Having a 1.7 times extender does explain a lot.. real shame :/..

Might go ahead and sell the lens to try and see if I can find a wideangle with x2 extender instead.. The lens is sharp enough...

Hmm real shame.. still got it on the way so haven't been able to test yet. Hope I can test out some lenses at work to see if it really is my adapter.. Sadly their lenses are a bit out of my price...
