Re: Wedding Highlights
I think the camera work is the main problem. The overexposure in many of the shots bothers me a lot more than the out of focus. Could be a picture profile issue -- too much contrast.

Re: Wedding in Central Park
Loved the bouquet toss, and really liked seeing, as you said, what couples do in New York. Going to watch it again now :).

Overheard bridesmaid advice
I often say something in the morning when I first come in like, "Just ignore us. We're flies on the wall. We're trying to get natural, candid shots." I watch the mental clockworks turning, and...

Could you take a photo, please?
Random thought for the day. You're running around with a DSLR, and guests assume you're a photographer. Maybe you were already pointed at them shooting video, or maybe not. Maybe they've just taken...

Hi, I'm sure this topic has been aired, but here it is again!
What picture profile do you normally shoot on?
I used to mainly shoot on Cinestyle. The main disadvantages seemed to be: (a) too...

Re: 'Crossing the line' rule
Are there any other differences between the two compositions?
If you pick up any book on cinematography (eg Five Cs), that might give you ideas. Eg characters on left of screen more wavering,...

Re: Some thoughts on sliders
Hi, I think you use a steadicam in an unusual way, and that a slider wouldn't necessarily suit your style.
Guessing: 5dMkIII with Faithful picture profile and Canon primes? (I'm probably...

Re: Expanding my business
I think it's a brilliant idea. But, Chris, you must have had some sort of background or interest in real estate before you started doing them? I personally wouldn't know all the little things to look...

Aside from a horizontal flip... What about making the editing more "funky"? For instance, during emphatic moments of the interview, doing a split screen with right- and left-facing head talking at...

Copying to two cards simultaneously
On a Mk3, you can record to SD and CF simultaneously. On an HVX... I think you can record to both P2 slots simultaneously.
So, the option is there... but does anyone actually use it in a wedding...
