Re: 70D message - "movie recording has been stopped automatically"

Re: The Full Length Video - what to include?

Ask them, not us. I always ask my couples if they want the readings or songs included. Some do, some don't. Both tend to have a strong opinion about it.

Now, I offer:

Best Men's toast is a music video and it's 80's

I think it's a little too long but this is fantastic. The groom's brothers didn't want to do a traditional toast, so they reformed their short-lived 80's band and made a music video instead. Enjoy:...

Re: First attempt at slow motion booth ;p

We use a simple Canon T3i with 50mm since we put a lot of clicks on the camera for our booths and we don't want to use our 5d Mark 2s. That can do 60fps, which I think would be OK, though not as...

Re: Second shooters - how do you justify less profit?

It requires someone you trust. Mine is my wife, though it was supposed to be the other way around. Last night I met a photographer's 2nd shooter, and will be talking to him about helping out on a...

Re: Wedding Preps

We offer a five hour package, and usually start when the bride gets dressed and will be done after the ceremony. So, for a 4pm ceremony, it's usually starting at 11am. Here they often do a first...

Re: Can anyone say "uncomfortable?"

We had one pastor, at an outdoor ceremony, tell us we weren't allowed to put a mic on the groom because, I wish I were joking, "their vows are between them and god." me:"so what are all the people...

Re: How long does it take...

For the DJ, it depends. At a private event like a wedding, no, no license is required. For a public event, like at the bar, yes, but it's taken care of by the venue paying ASCAP.

Re: How far to travel???

For us, once it's more than an hour, door-to-door, we'll charge some mileage, though not too much. Really the issue becomes early morning or late night. For instance, we were taken to lake resorts...
