Work arounds scare me because I always feel you loose quality when you have to "convert" something...

Thank you for your response.
Its not that I have to use JVC brand tapes - I just assumed you MUST use JVC tapes.
I will just use and brand of HDV Tapes then if that is the case.

Just starting out with the camera that was given to me.

Sony HDV 1080i footage not crisp from iDVD
I have read the forums and see this same issue arise for many other users.
I see the same standard response:
Computer Monitors look nothing like TV screens.
HDV gets down converted to SD and...

Warm Cards
Has anyone used these?
Green card look interesting removing the green tint you get from Florescent lights. Using Warm cards instead of White cards?
