That's like saying if the Audi A4 cost the same as a Ferrari, looked like a Ferrari and drove as quick as a Ferrari, I'd take the Audi.

Though, like an Audi, the one benefit the F3 has is ease of...

I must say, the primes look fairly underwhelming, I can't imagine any ACs looking forward to working with them and if you're self-shooting you may as well slap a Zeiss ZF on there. Also, I'm not sure...

Ummm no...

You can use lenses designed for cameras with 3 CCDs on cameras with a single CMOS.

I found it odd that it wasn't in the tech specs. 4:4:4 is a big deal, you'd think they'd flag that up! Maybe they just assumed we'd know it would be 4:4:4 due to the dual link - since that's what...

Then why did YOU call it RAW, when clearly it's not?

Also, I must be as blind as Dean, since I can only see 10bit 4:2:2 mentioned - not 4:4:4.

Anyway, that aside, does anyone know what the...

Giuseppe,

Yes, I saw that S-Log was mentioned. My understanding of S-log is it's a flat gamma curve, good for retaining as much dynamic range as possible, but it's not RAW - or am I...

It would have been a couple of years ago, but the economics have changed and so has technology. Sony are too late to the party with the F3, it looks out-dated and will certainly look outmoded...

I use the 28mm f/1.8 all the time, usually as a medium shot on interviews, but also as a medium wide for interiors.

It's a good value lens and you can get good bokeh if you are close to your...

I've never viewed a film and wondered if the editor knew the close gap commands or how to copy and paste attributes. Pointless and irrelevant.

The 28mm f/2.8 is a poor lens and even at $315 I'd say it's over priced. A much better low cost affordable wide is the Canon 28mm f/1.8.
