U have to lock the aperature to the max opened as...

U have to lock the aperature to the max opened as well for more light due to some light loss inherent to such adapters. Basically there is a glass inside this adapter which is called "ground glass"....

How to handle 1920x1080p in 1440x1080i?

I like to use some cloud footages that is in 1920x1080p.. but my project is in 1440x1080, 25i. Whats the best way to deal with this? Do I render to SD 720x576 (PAL land here)? Are there better ways?...

Use the levels tool. Open the videoscope and drag the histo levels to hit both the 100 and 0 line. That will solve yr contrast issue.
