Re: Question about TM900 - 1080p50 -> Final Cut Pro

I've read that Clipwrap WON'T YET help you get 1080p50 files from the Panny TM700/900 series etc. (and no doubt the Sony CX550, 700 etc.) into Final Cut Pro. Hopefully that will change soon - but...

Re: To Mac or not to Mac: The Future for Mac-based editors

Like several here I was reluctant to pay for the incremental upgrades that FCP7 offered over the FCP6 that I've been using very successfully and enjoyably the last 3 years. I also use Sony Vegas...

Re: working with M2TS and XDCAM files

"Sony 550". That could (I stress COULD) be a Sony CX550 and those clips MAY be 1080p60 28Mbps (i.e. not AVCHD compliant). I'm led to understand that Clipwrap does not yet handle this format (from...

1080p50 (and 1080p60) 28Mbps and FCP X

I've tried to keep up with all the frenzy about what FCP X will and won't do but I don't think I've found a specific answer to a question I have.

Does anyone know if FCP X can handle 1080p50...

Re: New camcorder, HS900 or TM900 + questions!

Hi again Barry,

Sorry for the delay but I just had to take some time out to watch all of U2s set live at Glastonbury...albeit via the BBC's iPlayer (but at least I didn't get wet/covered in the...

Re: New camcorder, HS900 or TM900 + questions!

Hi Barry - that's a HECK of a lot of footage in 3 weeks! Sounds like the HS900 was designed for you!!!

As you've probably found by reading around the 1080p50 at 28Mbps is superb quality, razor...

Re: FCP X Now available to buy and download from App Store

I was working in the centre of Cambridge this morning so after I'd finished I nipped into the Apple store in the hope of trying out FCPX for a little while (basically to get a bit of a feel as what...

Re: Rycote Universal Camera Kit 12cm

Just to add that I've bought second hand gear from Mike before. My item was exactly as described and came very well packed. If you want one of these kits this is a good price!!!

Just study all the excellent comparative Mac hardware performance data on the barefeats.com website (I wont link it directly as that may be frowned on - use google to find it). Then make up your own...

Re: XF300 and Merlin Steadicam

I'm not sure how heavy the XF300 is, but if it's anything close to my EX3 I really can't image you'd want to put something of that weight (and size) on a little Merlin.

Re: The Panasonic TM900 Users Thread

I do much the same as you in how I set up and operate my TM900's Picture Adjust except I rarely seem to need to go down to -3 on exposure, most of the time it's on -2 when I'm out and...

Re: Tokina 11-16 has never felt sharp compared to my other lenses

Stephen, yes you can Autofocus on a 7D with an AF lens on - with the way I described - but you would not want the hunting section in your edit as Chris implies. As indicated, I only use this if I'm...
