We used a 24-70 2.8 and a 20 2.8. On the interviews I had my AC go to f2.8 but for any action I tried to keep it around f4 to get a little more of the action in focus.
Field monitors are VERY...

Impressed
After using an HVX200 with and without various lens adapters (Redrock and Cinivate) as well as H1 and HD100's and Ex1 and Ex3's I must say this little camera is great. No backfocus issues to contend...

Not sure I quite agree. Having shot with lens adapters like redrock and brevis I would say that the 7D is MUCH easier than those setups, and much sharper with no vignette. For run and gun, maybe not,...

Mackie MR5
I needed some monitors for my edit system and ended up with the Mackie MR5 monitors. They are very inexpensive ($175 Each) easy to hook up (TRS, XLR, or RCA) and as far as I can tell have great sound...

Agreed that their wisdom is a little lacking in the pro market as of late. The one advantage I see in having the SD card reader is for the HMC150 users (and all other cameras) that shoot on SD cards....

That workflow is a bit wonky to me. Why on earth would you go to an mp4 and degrade quality on yet another transcode?
Try this basic workflow:
1. Make sure if you use in and out points on your...

Faster rendering in FCP?
Weird, but I re-rendered a ProresHQ sequence that had a lot of Motion content, I didn't time it with FCP6, but it was quicker (noticeably) with FCP7.... don't know what is with that.

Didn't work
