Re: Recommended lenses
I see now it's 1500 dollar for the viewfinder and the shouldermount kit is another 400 dollar, that would make it about twice the price of the ls300 (taken the b&h offer with the lens included into...

Re: Recommended lenses
Are you sure? from what I can read on the specification list it says the viewfinder is optional. Philip bloom also had no viewfinder, if it's optional it probably will be a expensive option.

Re: Recommended lenses
I was under the impression that featurewise (sensor size aside) the 4k and 4.6k are basically the same camera's? From what I see in Philips review and I could be mistaken, the ursa is not exactly an...

Eventhough I would sound logical that the gh5 gets ibis I rather work with what's available now, the gx80 is so small, light and cheap and performs well that I wouldn't want to wait until maybe the...

I have shot a wedding beginning this year with one camera only, that did the lot too, limiting at certain moments ofcourse in regards to camera angles, like a ceremony, but not impossible to create a...

Re: First foray into 4K with a AX100 - tips?
I don't have that test anymore but can say that the ax100 is pretty noisy at high gains, it's the only camera I have where I need to apply neat video to from time to time during ceremonies at darker...

Thx :) When I got home after the wedding I was frustrated because it was such a difficult day to cover because of exposure difficulties, I absolutely hate days when it's partially cloudy and a sun...

Re: First foray into 4K with a AX100 - tips?
That's not my experience, if the focus is off it's off and it will be painfully visible, especially in 4k, the autofocus is good enough to save you from problems like this when you shoot wider but as...

Re: First foray into 4K with a AX100 - tips?
The camera is pretty failsafe, you only need to watch your focus if you use the spotfocus feature by touching the screen, I have noticed more then once it doesn't always focus accurately and now I...

Thx:) That bokeh is achieved with my panasonic gx80 and a 42,5mm f1.7 or 75mm f1.8, all handheld btw.

Another wedding
Thought I'd share this one from this saturday, this time used my gh3/4 combo and the gx80 + also my jvc ls300 but mainly for the ceremony. The slow startup time of this camera (around 12 or so...

Re: C100m2: Blue noise on top half of frame
Beside the fact that you can expect artifacts at these high iso's this doesn't look normal to me. Just to rule out a lens issue, does this also show up in the same way with another lens?

Re: How do you grade yourGH4/ G7 footage?
Would you not be able to do the same in resolve? I have tried it but looks to complicated to me but it would save doing those roundtrips between different programs.

Re: FS5's XDCAM update
Sony's decision to withhold the mpeg2 codec from the fs5 but to include it in the x70 is most likely that the x70 is for them a "broadcast ready" camera that can serve a large group of broadcast...

Re: Panasonic gx80 for weddings
The 42,5 f1.7 is a must have for m4/3 as it's cheap, tiny and stabilized, I also have the 75mm f1.8 which was gathering dust as I only could use it on a tripod and I preferred to use the 42,5mm...
