Dan, that link was active when I made my post. It had been saying one in stock for a long time. Both before and...

Johnathan,
We all struggle with the gray areas. And I am far from a rule book thumper, in fact I generally hate rule books. This forum also has a lot of...

The Kata bag just arrived. Wow...what a smokin deal! Fifty bucks for a great bag that works like it was made for the EA50. I thought I owned everyones case, lots of PortaBrace stuff, pelican, etc....

A plea to use this sub forum properly. Common guys, I don’t believe tagging every post with SPC was the intent of qualifying any and every post to be in this sub forum. But that is what is already...

Re: New nex-ea50 film: Sahara
That is not luck. That's smart shooting. I was a pro sports shooter for many years. Yes, "the thing that makes the great shot" has to happen, but if your not ready and capable it is missed more than...

Thanks for the details.
There had to be some luck involved in one of my favorite cuts??? The white goose flying way beyond the tree branches. How else would you have known to focus out there...

Re: Recommend a EA50 camera bag
Dimitry,
I was not kidding when I said I have a lot of cases. With wheels and not. And I spend a lot of time on the road. I worry about vibrations so no matter what gear it is I have to pick it...

Re: Recommend a EA50 camera bag
I just ordered the Kata 185 too. For $49.00 it is ridiculously cheap. It is a $200.00 bag everywhere else but appears to be discontinued so the Amazon vendor must have picked up a bunch for...

Home studio.......Don't forget to calculate your draw. Many homes have 15 amp breakers. I love Lowell lights for a lot of things but for a fixed home set I would go with something cooler and less...

Re: Auto Focus With Face Detection = Very Good
Not that it is needed but I just happen to have an ink pen sitting here with a stylus on it. It works great on the LCD screen so I put it in my camera bag. Maybe it will come in handy if my hands...

One addition to Steven's post above. If you have coiled XLR cable left over on your run, don't throw the coiled cable on top of the extra coiled AC cable you may have laying under your tripod. A...

Joe,
So far I have not been impressed with face detection. A single subject, in stage lite, with a dark background, and little movement my be the perfect set up for it. That would make sense out...
