Nope. The 7D has a 12 minute record limit in HD, 30 min in SD whether you buy it in Amsterdam or New Amsterdam.

You need older 'D' or manual 'AI' lenses.

To the OP, If you want a 50mm prime get the f/1.4 not the f/1.2. But I'd advise getting the Canon 17-55mm f/2.8 as your first lens.

That depends Perrone. If you shoot with a lot of blur the codec usually stands up okay. I rarely get really bad moire issues - apart from roof tiles - but then most of my stuff is shallow DoF!

I agree Jon. If you want a retro/vintage look then get yourself some super-takumars. But buyer beware, old lenses can suffer from a whole host of issues, both mechanical and optical.

I generally shoot with a 5D and a 7D - it's a good combination for sure. I'll be adding a new camera soon - hopefully a 1Ds MkIV, so I guess that would make the 5D the back-up camera:)
