Re: How low do you go?...f-stop wise
When snapping Pictures I never go past 7.1 and stay as high as 5.6. I keep the same mentality when I was shooting video with a DSLR keep it at f8 max. Now on my AF100 I stay at 5.6, max F8 sometimes...

Anyone Planning on buying the C100?
I'm a AF100 user that has a C100 on pre-order. I wanted to know if there are others here planning to pick up a C100 for event work. As a single cam shooter the AF100 has been absolutely fantastic! It...

Re: Canon EOS C100
Also I believe all LCD/Plasma displays are progressive not interlaced. So to use 60i as slow mo you're using 1920X540 once interpolated instead of getting a full 1920X1080 with 60P. You're losing...

Re: Canon EOS C100
It depends on your line of work. For my line of work I've been very happy to have slow-motion at my disposal. Real slow-motion has such a different look then post slow mo. I'm not happy this cam...

Re: New Canon 4K camera announcements
Hey Graham I understand what you're saying and it's 100% true. I think it's extracting stills for all the non-formal stuff. I've done a few events where the client only has the Photog for formals and...

Re: New Canon 4K camera announcements
This is my biggest interest in 4K. I was hoping for sooner rather then now later.
Allan I think there will be some impact to some degree. The C300 still has the broadcast codec ready to go and is...

Re: NEX-FS700 and NEX-F3 -- next week?
I misread what Steve posted. The way it sounded was as if JVC will be doing 4K in avchd now which I thought wasn't the case and they'd do it 4 streams mpeg2 as you stated and they have said.

Re: Shooting Weddings in 30p and Authoring Bluray
Hi Jeff, There is a different feel all together with shooting 30P. Whether it's rendered to 60i or not it's 30P. The nex-vg10 shoots only 60i but it is 30P footage and many people confirmed it. All...

Re: Shooting Weddings in 30p and Authoring Bluray
The best thing I can tell you Jeff is to play with it. 30P looks very different than 60i and Katie shoots 30P because she sees the difference. There is no conversion going on at all as well. The only...

Re: Shooting Weddings in 30p and Authoring Bluray
Hey Jeff I have shot in 30F/P since 2008 with my XHA1 to T2i to now my AF100. None of them shoot progressive in a container. My old HV30 did shoot 30P in a 60i container but I just combined the...

Re: Shooting Weddings in 30p and Authoring Bluray
Katie edit in 30P and when you're ready for rendering render as 60i for Bluray. As Nigel says it's 30P in a 60i container. Your video is never really interlaced. The fields are separated but they are...
