Re: Spelling mistakes on the dvd

We used to include all guests in the credits, names taken from the seating plan. Lots of spelling mistakes apparently so stopped doing that.

Sent out a form to fill out with peoples names, couple...

Re: Has anyone used OneStop Digital for purchases?

Not with onestop digital but with Simply electronics who are a similar outfit.

These grey import companies are famous for a few shady workings. With simply they replace the camera serial number...

Re: C100 files into Sony Vegas AGAIN!

If I remember correctly from the manual there will be a gap during relay recording switch over.

Not experienced it myself as we use dual slot recording (which has already saved our bacon).

Re: The Switch: From Amateur to Professional

To Craig:

Bingo! That was part of the reason why we selected the name. It could be anything we wanted it to be and steered clear of the clique wedding video name or the photographer approach of...

Re: The Switch: From Amateur to Professional

And factor in re-edits. Are you going down the route of "We will change it again and again until you are happy"? If so then the time it takes to make changes, render, upload/post out disks.

Re: The Switch: From Amateur to Professional

I love this sort of post as it takes me back to when I gave up my day job in IT 4 years ago to go at this full time. I enjoyed sleeping in till 10am and getting up when I like. I now have a 2 year...

Re: Backlight - Aaargh!

You shooting one or 2 cams?

We always shoot 2 and in these situations we put ourselves as far to the side as possible without seeing each other. People rarely face forwards, they tend to look at...

Re: Custom USB Suppliers

Yup, Our TV supports exFAT but neither of our parents TV's do and I think our TV only got it because I updated its firmware lately.

If you want to gurantee it works you pretty much need to stick...

C100 doesnt stop the DSLR pose

A totally useless post but im bored.

Having a C100 doesn't seem to stop people posing for the camera thinking you have a DSLR. Even when it has a shotgun mic on top and is sitting on a...

Re: C100 opinions

I have yet to upgrade to the AF. I can see us using it on our Steadicam C100 but not much else as we tend to keep our subjects off centre (or your filming a wedding from the back and the person in...

Re: Weddings: I would like to get your take on specific lenses for specific shots....

On our C100 and 6D which can both do 10,000 nicely the F4 will be fine. We have the 24-105f4 as it has IS and it does just fine. On the 70D you will struggle. Certainly here in the UK we find most...

With the 70-200 you will need to splash the cash and get the IS version. At that focal length you will often find the 'shimmer' from vibrations will be very noticeable.

Re: Alternatives to the 5D3

Its rare we used 50p, maybe for the occasional confetti shot. Still have a 6D for that if we need it.

On the C100 we use the PF25 mode which is 25p encased in a 50i wrapper. Sounds like a mess but...

Re: Alternatives to the 5D3

I think its important to let us know what budget you are looking at when asking about new cameras.

One which ticks all your boxes would be the C100. It really is an amazing camera, has all the...

Re: Custom USB Suppliers

Flashbay did our USB sticks. We went with 8GB to hold all their films. Don't forget, you will most likely have to format the drive for FAT32 so you can guarantee it will work in all devices. This...

Re: Alternatives to the 5D3

No peaking but it does 50p is the Canon 6D. Same sensor, same processor but sharper as it lacks the moire filter of the 5d3. Same great low light capability. Full frame and takes cheap sd cards.

Re: Marketing....

We're always getting calls from someone saying "I'm calling from page one of Google..."

I then put the phone on the side and go make myself a sandwich.
