How about hot-swapping the C100? Anyone heard?

Re: Canon EOS C100

From what I see in the posts and in the few examples out so far, Bill, consensus seems to be that it's not that the C100 blows away the image of the MKIII, but that it still wins out due to better...

Re: PP's on the C100

What's more, Peter, you're getting much more than just the improved image over the 5DMKIII -- you're getting (at least some) of the conveniences of a video camera, better sound inputs, ND filters,...

Re: PP's on the C100

I'd agree (from what I've seen).

Philip Bloom did show, in his 5DMKIII review how the detail could be brought out in post, but it still seems like the C100 has the edge.

Re: Canon C100s have shipped to Texas Media Systems

Hi, Terry,

I remember there being a Texas Media Systems promo code or coupon code for DVINFO users. Is there still?

Re: C100 or stick with XF300 & T3i

All great advice and from the look of the images so far... very promising indeed.

Re: Include a BluRay player with the wedding package?

Exactly the case here in Boston. More and more of my clients *only* order blu-ray discs. And at least 75% of them (bride/groom) already have a player. And the other 25% have a player by the time...

Re: Include a BluRay player with the wedding package?

Greg - I hear you, but isn't cheaper just to include the free blu-ray disc and have *them* buy the player (if they don't own one?)

C100 or stick with XF300 & T3i

In a real dilemma. I've been loving my XF300 and use it for lots of my work. For prep shots, details, and dark reception close-ups, I use a T3i with nice lenses and have grown accustomed to the...

Re: Include a BluRay player with the wedding package?

I always include a Blu-Ray (disc, not player) in every package. They know it's coming. The few couples who don't own blu-ray players invariably do by the time they receive their video :)

Re: Compliments

So funny... I cringe at the comments I hear myself giving (when I listen to my footage). "Beautiful", "Nice", "Wonderful". I know I mean it at the time, but I hate the sound of my voice on film. ...

Re: High quality double BD/DVD case or box

For me, the couple only gets one (1) of those nice $27.50 WHCC cases. In factor it into my price point. People *love* them.

Re: Greek Wedding Ceremony, sights and sounds etc.

Thanks for the nice words, Adrian!

Dark reception was with a 1.4 lens. LED light for fill (dimmed though) and shutter dropped no lower than 1/30 -- so yes, perhaps some motion blur -- which I can...

Re: Greek Wedding Ceremony, sights and sounds etc.

Thanks much for all the help.

It went really well. As expected, no spoken vows -- but beautiful chanting by the Priest and it happened to be in the same key (nearly almost on pitch) as their...

Re: Guests blocking my shot!!!

And even that wouldn't guarantee the shot weren't going to be blocked (by either a backing up photographer, or guests leaning into the asile).

Bottom line: you cannot guarantee really anything...

Re: Canon EOS C100

Jim -

Great stuff, thanks for posting.

A question: does the LCD also angle downward (for shooting from below the camera and looking UP?). You mentioned the opposite, which is nice, but does...

Luke - that's nearly unbelievable (that the clients didn't get back). Wow. Hopefully, they're just still awed and are in the midst of drafting a great letter of feedback.

Anyway: thanks for the...

Totally understand -- and was just pulling his chain a bit. I've found that the Shazam doesn't work as often with the songfreedom tunes and such -- but will give it a try.

In terms of the secrets...

Re: Choir Concert Excerpts

Thanks for responding. I guess she must travel a lot in the early music circuit, because she's definitely known in Boston.

Scott -

First -- great low-light work. Which camera? And great videography all around. The slow cuts perfectly befit the Tallis and other music. Gotta love Thomas Tallis!

More interesting...
