Hello Carol,

Unfortunately Windows Vista does not have native support for AVCHD files. If your hardware supports it, Windows 7 provides native AVCHD support and will solve all the usual workflow...

Since they use a contrast based focus system, I would expect the GH cameras to have no problem with linear polarizers.

Always a good idea to perform auto and manual white balance tests...

As Jeff mentioned, you'll see text in the lower left of the LCD & EVF indicating AF & AE are locked, AND a green dot in the upper right.
