That is great that you can have the SDE to replace both trailer and highlight. I don't know how we can do that here but it definitely is an option.

Thanks ken. I'm not good in operating the crane. Ferry (Our other shooter) is a lot better with it. Its great cause he got back pain so he cannot operate the glidecam. Now we can share an even load...

it depends on the schedule. sometimes the bridal waltz happen right after the grand entrance. In that case we will most likely try harder to put it in the SDE. if the waltz happen much later at...

We use glidecam, glidetrack and dpslider for our moving shots as well monopods for fake slider movement.

Cameras are 2 x 5Ds and 1 x 7D with various lenses.

johannes; zaza slider is not roller bearing type of slider making it to easily stick when sliding after a while.

Have you tried dpslider/atlas/pocket dolly? It'll feel like a sports car compared...

If you're planning to use 1 lens on the reception...

If you're planning to use 1 lens on the reception with 7d, then definitely get the 50mm. 30mm will get you too close to your subject during reception.

30mm on 7d would be great fit for prep stuff...
