Wow! What was the final budget on it, do you know? It looks like a big budget Hollywood production. Except for the voice over guy in the trailer, that is. He really doesn't have the voice the piece calls for. My two cents.

John Hudson April 15th, 2005 11:34 AM

LOL

Loved it. Great stuff.

Daniel Patton April 15th, 2005 12:26 PM

I too would like to know the budget on that one. Very nice.

And can you speak open as to why it was "rejected"?

short Test for possible Fanfilm

okay, so I'm sure it was bound to happen sooner or later, but here is a test for a possible sin city fan film I might make. This short test was created in after effects. This entire scene is digital. Aside from the picture of the building I used. Mainly I did this test to try out matchmoving with rain particles.

Lemme know what you think, Thanks!

Sin City Test - Windows media - 1.2 MB

EDIT: I also decided to create a logo for the "company" (hehe) based on the sin-city look

Windows Media - 2 MB

I know there are some perspective problems and oddities, but all that was done with a 2d image of a building. And to prove I made these, here is the original image:

I loved it! Well done. Needs some work; but for a conceptual test it was great. Keep us in the loop!

Summer Camp Promo

Hello,
I am very new to the world of video editing, but this site has been a great resource and i'm beginning to learn a lot. I made this short video for a camp that I work for and I'd like to get some constructive criticism for you all. Please tell me what you think! Sorry about the poor compressed quality.
http://www.mtcross.org/ Go to this site and in the middle of the page towards the bottom you can download the video. Thanks.

Short Sequence for school (:28s)

www.glennchan.info/EFP1.mov

Still thinking of a title for this short piece... anyways, a little background... I go to Ryerson University of Radio and Television Arts and here's a short piece I did for schoolwork.

I applied strong color correction to it in Vegas. Color/gamma curves, saturation adjust, diffusion, "digital ND grads" in the wide shots. You can see a side-by-side comparison at:
Side-by-side color correction demo

Any comments and feedback would be appreciated.

You did quite the amazing job with the color correction. I loved this short! Only thing, dunno though it might be just me cuz it's quite late, is the girl seemed a little bit stiff. Other than that though, good short! I really liked it!

I thought it was nice as well, pretty funny!
