Tried something new. Day to night real estate video

Wanted to try this for awhile but needed to shoot a home that had good day and night lighting, and that had owners who wouldn't mind having equipment in their home for several days.

Great idea! I think it worked pretty well. It looked like a ton of work!

I found the flow somewhat confusing as it jumped from place to place. Maybe its just me, but a walkthrough approach that goes from room to room gives a frame of reference for placing the various exquisite features.

(was the bubbling brook flowing backwards in one shot?)

I'd be curious about your workflow and production/post-production times. HDR time-lapse requires effort!

Cool! Anytime you can add more sizzle to a typical real-estate showing is a good move for you. I'd love to hear about your workflow, and how you made this worth your time. Most of the agents I know pay bottom-dollar for a well-crafted video bereft of any 'extras'.

Re: Tried something new. Day to night real estate video

I liked the day/nigh transitions. Those looked really nice. Beyond that I wasn't such a fan of how it was put together. I didn't get the feel for what it would be like to be there. The shots felt very disconnected from each other like they could have been different places all together and not one property. I think with some different editing it would be a much stronger piece. Even a real estate video should tell a story. ;)

Hopefully your market makes videos with that level of production value sustainable. In NC it has not. Even for million dollar homes they want finished videos to come in for a few hundreds of bucks. At least that is what they were offering when I had to stop and move on to something that would pay the light bill on the editing system.
