More than likely it was shot on a VX-1000. this is still the workhorse camera for the skateboarding videos. Also if you go the the Girl Skateboards site you will see a few pix of the 1000 in action etc.

Adrian Douglas July 29th, 2003 07:57 PM

Yeah, I can tell you from experience, shooting skateboarding with an XL1 is a difficult task. The VX1000/2000 and GL1/2 are usually used with either a WA or Fisheye adapter slung on the front.

Billy McPherson July 29th, 2003 08:33 PM

I got a 404 on that URL.

Alex Knappenberger July 29th, 2003 08:42 PM

Yeah, that site went down, they probably got hit hard, you didn't even have to sign up to host a picture, just hit a button and it was on a server, heh.

Anyway, here I uploaded it somewhere else:

The chroma keyed skateboards in that video were shot on film, probably 8mm, but there was some 35mm in the intro of that video.

Yeah, the VX2000, GL2, VX1000....etc are pretty much standard for skateboard shooting.

Pepi Singh Khara July 30th, 2003 05:32 PM

We are hitting the festival circuit after this so we don't know what we'll be doing after this showing...... keep checking www.frederickfilms.com for unfolding details.

Bored Alex, episode 1, haha.

http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2003-.../boredalex.jpg

Eh, don't use this terrible peice to judge my capabilities, heh. I was bored the other night and decided to do something to help with my boredem, and this is the result, it took about 10 minutes to "shoot" (be dumb) and like a hour for me to edit. Most likely if/when I do a public access show, the "bored alex" series will become a regular, heh.

I don't know how well this uber-stupidness will go with the "older" crowd, but I know my stupid little friends seem to love this stuff. Such replies from them as "omg rofl" "hahaha" "dude i luv ur movieZ!"...etc...etc

(Right click > Save target as|8.5MB WMV8)

Sorry about the FTP, the guy that hosts stuff for me is gone, my ftp isn't all that slow though, about 50kb/s max, depending on your connection/where you are.

Oh yeah, I finally turned 15 today, well yesterday now.
