It's not exactly 10-bit log, since we don't require you to use another log-lin LUT to see the footage as "normal" . . . there's two selectable LUT's in the camera, with a normal "video-like" LUT and then a "wide-dynamic range" LUT that's based on the concept of widening the visible dynamic range like a logarithmic curve does, albeit with some modifications to the curve so that it doesn't look too flat and non-contrasty. It's also somewhat similiar in concept to the Panasonic Film REC curve, but it's not the same thing . . . the "concept" being, like a log or filmstream curve, a curve that is low-contrast in nature that captures as much dynamic range as possible, but like the Panasonic film rec curve, is viewable without needing a reverse LUT.
