Sony XLR-K1/K2 or Zoom H5 for Sony AX33/AX100
I'd like to buy either a Sony AX33 or AX100 in a couple of weeks. Since they come without an XLR audio module, I'd like to buy a Sony XLR-K1/K2 module or a Zoom H5 external recorder with a shotgun capsule.
The Sony XLR comes with the Sony ECM-XM1 Shotgun Microphone the The H5 has two powered XLR inputs, and it is a bit less ($500 H5 + SGH-6 shotgun mic) expensive than the Sony XLR modules ($600 - 800). Is there any advantage of the Sony XLR modules over the Zoom H5? Thank You so much for the help, Miki |

Re: Sony XLR-K1/K2 or Zoom H5 for Sony AX33/AX100
I own the K2. I use it on my XA-100 and will do so with my ordered AX-33. Works very well. I use the Rode NTG-1 instead of the Sony shotgun. The unit does tend to use a little more draw on the battery but I also own the NTG-2 with its own battery, so that should help. I do miss the handle as found on the X70.
