Sony X70: My standard technique for Exposure and Focus

Below I describe my Standard technique for criticism and corrections. My English is not perfect.

MY STANDARD TECHNIQUE FOR EXPOSURE AND FOCUS (1)
• Camera in Manu-Mode.
• AF/MF button on MF, but in menu Face Detection ON (2)
• WB ON, Histogram ON, Zebra according to motive.
• Spot Focus ON as soon as camera is in standby mode.

FOCUS CONTROL:
Use Spot Focus or Focus-Ring. Follow Focus with Face Detect (AF/MF button set to AF).

EXPOSURE CONTROL:
Quick Balanced Manu Exposure:
IGS-Bar(3): All auto. Pan camera for balanced contrast (watch ND filter advice, Zebra, Yellow Line in Histogram), then fix all to manu, then go to subject. Use Iris, Gain or Shutter Dial for fine adjustments when necessary.

Selective manu/auto Exposure:
IGS-Bar: All auto, then fix to manu what is appropriate.

All-auto Exposure:
IGS-Bar: All auto. In situations with areas of heavy darkness or strong light (check Zebra & Histogram) -> Spot Meter (risky) or Quick Balanced Manu Exposure.

Explanations:

(1) My tailor-made button assignments are:
1 Spot Focus
3 Spot Meter
5 Peaking
6 Zebra

(2) Allows quick change to Face Detection (Follow Focus) by switching AF/MF button to AF.

(3) I call the Iris Gain Sutter buttons on the left side of the camera "IGS-Bar".
