It's been a while since I used main concept, but if I remember right you have to export your clips as XDCAM MXF's from main concept to your hard drive then connect the camera using FAM mode and copy the MXF's to the clip folder of the XDCAM Disc. If you have problems try using the C****.MXF file naming convention, so your fist clip would be C0001.MXF then C0002.MXF and so on.

was .MXF in capitals? it must be all capitals.
Other things to check:

The disc must be blank or only contain files of the same format as the ones you are trying to write.
The camera must be set to the same format as the files you are trying to write, eg 25P HQ or 50i HQ etc.

How are you writing to the disk? You have to write to file from mainconcept to a local hard drive or your desktop. Then copy the file to the XDCAM disk. You cannot write directly from mainconcept to the XDCAM disk.
Beyond that I'm really at a loss.
