Yes it is true, Sony is positioning its XDCAM HD product line under their CineAlta banner. See:

That's why we're calling this the XDCAM HD / CineAlta forum. It's open to topics relating to XDCAM HD cameras and decks, standard definition XDCAM, and other CineAlta gear such as the F950. It's all good here.
