Sony HDR-HC7 with Rode NT4
I am planning to purchase the RODE NT4 to use with my Sony HDR-HC7.
- Do I need to purchase a Beachtek adapter so I can plug the XLR to the adapter then the cord from Beachtek adapter to the camera? - OR can I go directly with a dual 1/8" mono to single stereo "Y" splitter provide by RODE? The microphone will be used for classical guitar recording. Thanks for your inputs. --JT |

If a mic does not need Phantom Power, you can directly connect it to the Mic in. If it does, get the adapter.
