Shooting timelapse with HDR-SR5 towards Sun

I would like to experiment with sunrise and sunset timelapses. I have an ND filter and a polarizing filter.

My question is, are my extra ND and/or polarizing filters neccessary if I run my camera in the Sunrise/Sunset scene selection mode? Is there some kind of built-in ND filter?

Thank you

Guess no-one knows the answer to my question??

Ok I will just keep using filters, when looking at the sun to be safe.
