Sony HC-5 : VR to iMovie at DVinfo.net

Hi,

Am am trying to pass a VCR video from a VCR through my Sony HC-5 into iMovie. I have the cables, but am not sure on the menu selections for the HC-5. Can anyone help me set it all up to make it work?

AFAIK, video pass through disappeared with the HD cameras. IOW there's no "input" on them to accept an external signal from RCA connections the way the old SD cameras did.
