Sony VMC-K100 Is Now Listed At Sony US

It seems the AIS Mic adapter is now listed on Sony's website, however there's non in stock. Here's to that changing sometime soon.

http://servicesales.sel.sony.com/web/index.jsp

Select "Part or Accessory Number" then

Type "VMCK100" in the search box.

As of today, B&H Photo has them in stock for $20. Sony still lists them as discontinued, so get 'em while you can...

This accepts standard 1/8" male connections, correct?

So with an XLR-Female to 1/8-inch cable, we should be able to use XLR mics?

XLR on the HC1 - what is that like as far as sound quality? Is it still better to go with a Beachtek?

Thanks Jamie. I'm going to give it a shot. With the addition of a quality mic the HC3 will be a great little camera.

I ordered the VMC-K100 at B&H a couple of days ago, but my order status remains "processing."

EDIT: This afternoon my order shipped. I will post info on the device when it arrives.

As of today, B&H shows them out of stock.

I suspect that's it. If you didn't jump on it, it's too late.
