V1 vs Z1 at DVinfo.net

Hi all,

I'm looking to purchase a new camera and have been looking at these two. I was wondering if anyone can give me a rough idea on the differences between the two. I understand the Z1 uses CCD's and the V1 uses CMOS chips but what does that really mean?
