Hey Fellas,

I'm still in Japan taking footage and we started to capture some of the files. I noticed when doing it the camera say's DV out NOT HDV out. I read the book but I think I am missing something.

I know I recorded in HD so how do I get that out of the camera/tape?

Sorry if it's a dumb question...

The DV (FireWire/I-link/IEEE1394) connector feeds both HDV and DV depending on the Menu settings. In the IN/OUT REC > VCR HDV/DV menu you can select Auto, DV or HDV outputs. Auto seems to work for me, but if you're having trouble getting a signal set it to HDV. Also be sure that I.LINK CONV item is set to OFF or it will output DV.
