I wonder when Sony's going to tell us about the "Functions" and "Design"

Piotr Wozniacki December 28th, 2006 05:55 PM

The european site has a nice flash presentation, with all information up to date (also functions and design), at:
http://www.sonybiz.net

You have to navigate through Products->Broadcast Professional Audio/Video->Camcorders->HDV

Now the revised V1E flash presentation from European branch (Sony Broadcast) can be found here

For those who haven't noticed, the US minisite of the V1 has been completed, and includes a lot of interesting information (even to the V1 owners).

Sony V1

What exactly are the differences between the Sony V1 E, P & U ? I noticed there is quite a difference in the $ category.

The V1E/P are PAL models; V1U is NTSC. The differences are obvious in DV/DVCAM; in HDV resolution is the same, but framerates differ (50i/25p for PAL and 60i/30p/24p for NTSC).
