The comparision isn't made between the HVX and any HDV camcorder as "DVCProHD vs HDV."
DVCProHD input in the HVX is not the same as in a Varicam but because it's DVCProHD, so many folks don't draw the distinction.
The framerates of the HVX are truly the most exciting aspect of the camcorder for what we use it for, and overcrank is terrific in the cam. For high action with bright lighting, this is where it shines, IMO.
