Pop - Short Film

A film by Sergio Barbosa.
This short film is based on the scene "Cell Block Tango" from the Oscar-winning film "Chicago". I love that film and this is my homage to it. The original scene talks about six women who are in jail for killing their husbands, and their motives.
The language of the film is Portuguese, though I added English subtitles, so almost everyone can understand it.
This is my entry for the contest: Bloomfest 3.

Shot on the HVR-V1 in 1080p25, natural light only (there was no electricity on the set...)
Edited in Final Cut Studio.

on another point i have used a rode stereo mike with my fx-7 and found it great far better than the on board and the volume setting never needed adjusting till last week when i filmed a village fair i always film,most was ok exept for brass and bag pipe bands, the resulting sound was terrible even reducing volume in pc crazed etc clearly i should have reduced the sound level.although last year filming with my hc-1 and a ecm-hqp1 mike the sound was great without altering the volume.below is a clip of the fair with rubbish sound clearly i must reduce volume for bands like this am i correct.chris

Thanks for posting these, Chris. They were both helpful to me in evaluating the picture quality of the FX7. I'm seriously considering getting one myself. The visual quality of both of the clips is excellent. The first clip looks like documentary footage that you might see on TV. The second is also good too, but I agree the sound needs work!

Still trying to figure out a way to get rid of the 'tv-look' of the image, though. I figured exporting 1080i to 720p in Sony Vegas would do the trick.

I'm impressed with the quality of the picture the FX7 produces, even if it looks like standard HDTV.

I think what I meant to say was that 'standard HDTV' (i.e. without progressive modes) looks like video, while the look I'm trying to accomplish using a 1080i camera and post-processing would be more film-like and less like video.
