HVR-V1 output convert

Hi on the new sony V-1 camcorder anyone try the downconverting outputs and
could they crop the HDV 16x9 image to 4x3 like the Z-1 can...or what down
converting can it do...?...thanks ...FIL

The V1U will not resize via firewire. It will downconvert HDV>DV but not crop to 4:3, the output is always 16:9.

If you want to downconvert HDV>DV and crop to 4:3 you will have to do that in your editing software.
