Height & Width of FX1 Flip out LCD Screen?
 

I have a shoot coming up next weekend with a rented FX1, and I want to build a sunshade for the flip out LCD screen. Can someone measure theirs and give me the width and height please. Millimeters or inches is fine.

Sorry if this is too late for your shoot... I think it's the same as my Z1. Width (to the outside of the plastic housing) is 3-7/8". Note that it is slightly curved, and that is the measurement at its widest part in the center. Height is 2-1/2".

You may not really need a sunshade though. It's a transreflective screen and it actually looks very nice under direct sunlight with the backlight turned off. This is a nice feature of the FX1 and Z1 which is often overlooked in various comparisons with other cameras.

Hey Boyd thanks for getting back to me. We're gonna be shooting out in the open in the foothills of a county park. We'll try it without and if we do need it, atleast we'll have it on hand.
