FX1 and Cinealta in 24 mode ?
Hello guys
I want to ask you if the "cineframe 24"mode of the FX1 is similar of the "24 Cinealta"(FW 900/950) mode, The Cinealta (FW 900/950) record on the tape in 1080i at 24 (like the FX)? or in 1080p at true 24p? Besr regards Gabriele |

It's not even close. Sony is not in the habit of selling CineAlta's for 3700 bucks.
If you want state of the art HD, you still have to rent 100k cams. So far. |

Sony does not appear to be a big fan of 24p. This is probably some "simulation" to look slightly filmish if you don't want to do any post, not unlike canon's frame mode.
