Personally I have very little problem finding the Sony Premium tapes wherever I go. For example, I've bought them at Sears, Target, WalMart, CompUSA and Best Buy. Price is typically betweem $4 and $5 each when bought in packs of 2, 3 or 4. Of course you can get them for less by mail order, but my point is that the Sony tapes aren't hard to find and the price is similar to other brands. Even if they cost a little more it's pretty trivial in the grand scheme of things.

I keep some blank tapes on hand at all times just in case. I'm just not going to mix brands in a $5,000 camera. Rather than re-hash this here, visit the following thread where it gets beat to death ;-)
