Hi

is it possible to mount a lavalier and shotgun microphone to the FX1 at the same time? is there some sort of adaptor that can give you this option?

Thanks for any help

Hi

Thanks for getting back to me

what product should i be looking at on there? i have a XLR adaptor but this does not give me the option to mount a lavalier and shotgun microphone at the same time. I am talking about having them both on the camera at the same time but there is no where for the shotgun to go because the lavalier is using the hot shoe.

Thanks

You'd probably be better off having someone else hold the shotgun mic on a boom, unless your specific application calls for it to be on the camera.

If you want to use the shotgun on your camera, put it in the hotshoe...perhaps on a little riser to get it above the lens and away from camera noise, too. For example:

http://www.mklemme.com/pole/dvcam.html

Then for the radio receiver (RX), you could either stick that in your pocket and run a cable back to your camera (gives you less weight to hold, but a cable to deal with), or tape/velcro the RX to the back or bottom of your camera (hey, it works). Or look at the various boom/RX mount adapters such as the ones on this page:

Hope this helps,

Jim

I put my Senn. Receiver under the control panel held with a rubber band.
