which short shotgun for Z1?
Planning to buy the Z1 and see that the cam mounted short shotgun is optional. I think the current Model choices of Sony short shotguns for this camera include the ecm 672 ($655), 674($approx.$345), and 678($600). Anyone have user experience with these or any comments. I want a decent shotgun for mounting on the cam but with limited $, don't want to spend more than necessary to get good sound quality without picking up too much extraneous noise.

If you are looking for a good short shotgun, I ve used this one mounted on my FX1 with a simple shock mount. Even with a wind sock, it does not show up in the view finder. It is, of course, mono. I am sure you need to be more specifice what you are looking to do with your set up.
