Anyone from Washington DC and know.....

Anyone from Washington DC and know of a store in DC that might carry a demo of the Z1-U? New York is a little far for me to go to 'put my hands on' one, so I didn't know if there was anywhere in DC I could demo one. Thanks in advance. I looked in the Superpages.com, no success so far in finding a store.

Greetings Steven, Here are a couple of "shots in the dark." http://www.gearheadcamera.com/ http://www.professionalproducts.com/ The first is a rental company out of downtown. The next is a reseller that had offices in Richmond, but has now relocated to the D.C. area. Visibility, Inc., Tel: (804) 897-4261 may have one as well. Hope this helps. |

But thanks Tim, I'll keep looking, but at this point, I am becoming aware that I might end up having to buy prior to trying.

You might want to try VER. I have been trying to locate rental houses in the MD/DC area and they are one I've found that carries the Z1. I haven't been there, but it is listed on the website. http://www.verrents.com/hi_definition.php |

Add DC-Camera to the list of potential places to check out the Z1U. They seem to have a reasonable rental rate if you wanted to get hands on for a day. Once again, I have not had experience with them and just thought I'd share the link. http://www.dc-camera.com/main.cfm?ac...ducts&page=11a I'm hoping to check out some of these places myself as I'll be needing a 2nd camera for my wedding in June and I'm still debating whether its worth renting or buying. Hope this helps. - JON |
