TIFF Sequence File
Today I had a talk with the lab I was planning to use for my HDV to 35mm transfer, and they proposed a different path than the one I was thinking of.
The lab told me to edit the film in HDV. Then take the HD with the TIFF File Sequence to them, which then they will open and transfer frame by frame. In my case I will we be using 50i for my Sony Z1 shoot, so the transfer is to be made to 25fps. I need to find out more about this path and if it is the best aproach. Has anyone had any experience with it? |

I don't see a problem with it if that is easier for them. Just export as a numbered sequence. I don't know how the numbering would work though, since I have never exported more than 9999 frames. Maybe the program handles it OK. You'll have to check. I don't have enough room to check it at the moment since it gets pretty big.
Also, you will have to deal with the interlacing. |
