On-camera tele mic

I just want to share that...

I have been using ATR-55 tele mic for a while and I am very pleased with it.

It sells for about $80, and it plugs in directly to the mic input.

It is mono, so some people might complain. But I never film a million-dollar movie anyway. Just talking heads, weddings and birthdays.

With ATR-55, there will be handling noise, if you touch the mic or the wire while shooting. That's the biggest down side.

There is a switch for cardioid and super-cardioid. I never find a reason to use the normal cardioid mode.
