Suggestions for external mic for FX1?

I've got the Rode Videomic, but I have to say that 1) it doesnt overly impress me and 2) looks hideous on the fx1!!

Any suggestions guys? Cheers!

What type of audio do you need to record ? Most suggestions will be for a monophonic shotgun microphone, which is of course, very useful. For the type of shooting that I do (Martial arts + crowd ambience), the Audio-Technica AT825 or AT822 give me a deliciously open sound. Though, now, I'm working on parallel recording of other types of microphones so I don't have to give up that great-sounding stereo recording.

Tim - What sonic aspects of it "don't overly impress you" ?
People here might be able to make alternative suggestions if we know more about what aspects of a piece of equipment's performance haven't met your expectations.
