Charger for NPF-970 Batteries

I'm looking at two chargers for batteries...

1: AC-VQ1050D which is a quick charger Sony | AC-VQ1050D AC Power Adapter / Dual Charger | ACVQ1050D

2: Sony | AC-V700A AC Power Adapter / Charger | ACV700A | B&H Photo

The first seems to offer a quick charge, but not a full charge, is this correct?

The second one only has one battery slot, but offers a full charge for sure, however in its specs it lists all batteries except the NPF-970.

Is there a multiple charger by Sony that offers full charge? I can't find one at b and h.

Edit: I just found the BPV-500 which plugs into the wall and charges two batteries simultaneously, but I don't see that it has an indicator to tell when charging is complete.

I think the only difference (if any) there is between the AC-VQ1050 (which came with my Z5 {UK}) and the AC-VQ1050D is regional differences but the AC-VQ1050 certainly does the FULL charge beyond the NORMAL charge so I would think that the AC-VQ1050D is the identical unit except sold in USA.

There is a newer one out here [AC-VQL1BP]:
AC-VQL1BP

which I'm sure there must be a USA version of.

Jeff, I owned the 700 when I still had my PD150 and charged my 950's on it as well as 970's from rental cameras.

Jeff, I use the 700 to charge my 970 batteries. I'm not sure but it seems as though the 700 charges faster than the AC-VQ1050D that came with the Z5. Although, it could be that I'm draining the batteries more with the Z5 and so it's taking longer to charge. Didn't the AC-VQ1050D come with your camera?

Rob the AC-VQ1050 comes only with the Z5 not with the FX1000 and I believe Jeff has the FX1000.

Correctomundo, Stelios, I have the FX1000. I just ordered the AC-VQ1050D. I used to use my PD150 to charge, but I dropped it and sold it recently for parts to a friend. It will be nice to have a dedicated charger.

The dual charger comes with the Z7 also. The B&H literature says you can charge 2 batteries at a time. Either my charger is not exactly the same (model number is the same) or their literture is mis-leading IMHO. You can put 2 batteries on it at the same time but it only charges one at a time. When the first one is charged then it starts charging the second. And I don't think I would really classify it as a "fast" charger because it seems to take a while to charge a NPF-970 that is completely discharged. But I still prefer it over all of the other chargers I have owned.

I've read multiple reviews that say the same thing you said Greg...it doesn't charge simultaneously..but consecutively. I went ahead and ordered it, seems as good as anything else I could find.

BTW Steve, I looked at the new one you linked to, it is a beauty...but for $399 is should be!

Yeah. That's what I thought. Think I'll stick with the one I have - at least for the time being.
