Jeff, did you try a head cleaner as a last resort? I'm also assuming that you've ensured your wireless setup isn't to blame...assuming you're using that kind of a setup during the dropout problems.

In the other incidents there was nothing to be done, however in this case I did get the original tape and upon playback everything was fine unlike the past incidents. The first time I re-captured the footage I had 7 dropouts. I then did a cold boot of my PC, restarted Vegas, and had only one dropout. Go figure. This incident was not a camera issue, so I was mistaken in this case. Re: Tape head cleanerers, I don't use them. In this camera's case the serious incidents began with the first time I used it anyway. |
