Lens adaptor for C-Mount lenses

Strange that Sony does not provide any info about where to buy different lens adapters. I have been looking for a adapter for mounting C-mount lenses on the Z7. This would make the Z7 a good alternative to the Iconix when making Nature Documentaries.
Anyone aware of such an adapter ?

I recently asked Mike Tapa (www.mtfservices.com) about this, and he told me that a C-mount to JVC/Sony bayonet mount adapter is not possible. Apparently the beam splitter in these cameras does not allow enough clearance for a C-mount lens. You'll have to settle for Mike's Nikon adapter instead.

Too bad... I'd love to try some old Bolex lenses on the Z7.

Now I just have to find a 4mm lens with a bayonet mount! (One that doesn't cost more than the camera!)

I saw the Sony Alpha mount at NAB, but didn't find out when it will be released / how much it will cost

for the time being, anything that will work w/ the JVC cameras should work w/ the Z7/S270.

anyone know if anyone in the states makes an adapter like mtfservices.com? (the dollar / pound conversion is just horrible right now)

JVC used to have a 2/3" to C-Mount adapter called the HZ-CA23U. I actually have one I use with my Switar 25mm C-mount lens.
When you combine it with the 2/3" to 1/3" Fuji adapter (ACM-17) it works on the JVC HD200 series cameras. Of course that Fuji adapter is expensive (over $1000) and the HZ-CA23U is hard to find nowadays.

Tim, does the HZ-CA23U work with bolex and/or non-bolex lenses in the setup you describe here? I have access to one but have never thought to try it. Please advise, thanks!
