				Z7U AC adapter

			Hi

I recently picked up a z7u. I've shot for years with pd-170s. Even though I like the ac/charger that comes with the z7u im curious if Sony or another manufacturer makes just an ac for the z7u? The pd-170s use the ac-l100 which is very compact and inexpensive. |

The only way the Z7 can get power is through the batter slot. Be it battery or AC adapter.

To the best of my knowledge, anything AC adapter for the L series batteries should work. So if you had something that worked with your PD170, it should probably work with the Z7. If you're worried about it, see if you can call Sony & ask them.

			Hi Zach

Yes I thought the same thing. But the pd170 uses the acl100 which has a small connector that plugs into the camera. The 170 didnt use the battery adapter. I really don't care for the battery adapter technique. Thanks for the reply. |

			You are right.

There is also a costeffective Swit Charger that offers the "cable-battery"-type AC Adapter too. |
