this is a silly question i suppose. after a year i still haven't taken the plunge on getting this cam, but i plan on it by the end of august.

but my question is, during still photo taking, does peaking and zebras and histogram still work?

i assume it won't have a "exposure meter" like my canon does, but i would prefer these video tools for photos anyways. thanks to anyone that can weigh in on the matter

Yes they work. So does steady shot and Picture Profiles so they will match the video image.

also, does it take images in a RAW format as some kind?

Hey Chris

AFAIK (or can determine) the still pics are only JPEG. I find using my EA-50's for stills is awkward and still use my Nikons if I need stills.
